05.03.08 | Summer Tour with NWGQ and new DVD
I am really excited to be heading out on the road with New West Guitar Quartet starting in June. I will be posting all the shows very soon but in the meantime, some of highlights include, Montreal Jazz Festival, Rockwood Music Hall (NYC) and Ellington Hotel (Berlin, Germany).

In other news, New West will be releasing a new live DVD on Mel Bay Records this fall. Thanks for visiting my site and I hope you enjoy my music.

After the success of my December residency at the Pasadena Jazz Institute, my trio will now be the official Monday night band. Please come out and support this wonderful new jazz club and hear two of my favorite musicians , Dan Schnelle and JP Maramba round out my trio.

Coming off a successful 2 month tour with New West Guitar Quartet, I have headed back out on the raod playing with the Kathleen Grace Band. The group will be performing all over the east including New York City. Check out the link for more details.

06.08.07 | Going to Europe
I am so excited to to announce that I will be traveling to Europe for 3 1/2 weeks with the New West Guitar Quartet. We have been asked to represent the city of Los Angeles at the Berlin/LA Sister Cities Festival. NWGQ will be playing on the main stage every day for thousands of people. With the release of our new CD on Artsong Music titled "Wide Awake," the timing couldn't be better. After Berlin, NWGQ will spend a month on the road playing all over the western US. We have some great gigs lined up at clubs like: Kuumbwa Jazz Center, Sweetwater Saloon, Jimmy Maks and The Jazz Bakery. Managing the group ourselves has taken a lot of work, from recording to booking gigs and writing all the music. However, it all seems worth it when the opportunities start to fall.

02.27.07 | The Joys of Recording
I have spent many hours in the studio the last couple months and good things have been accomplished. First, a composition of mine titled "Songbird" is now a finalist in the 2007 International Songwriting Competition. The song features wonderful lyrics by the great vocalist/lryicist Kathleen Grace. Secondly, I played on soundtrack for an upcoming HBO movie. I arranged all the music for the session and it was recorded at an old legendary studio in Hollywood. Thirdly, a group I work with, New West Guitar Quartet, is currently working on finishing our second album. The music sounds great and I am so proud to be a part of it. Last but certainly not least, I recorded with a great singer/songwriter named Kathleen Smith (no relation). This is her first major recording project and every one of her songs are gems.
